[Linux] How do i disable my DS4's touchpad as a mouse?
I have a DualShock 4 and i'd like to make it stop using it's touchpad as a mouse. In some games, like GTA V, i use the touchpad to map the select button plus some other stuff, kinda like in the PS4's version, but everytime, since mouse function is always on as soon as i plug in the controller, it conflicts the inputs and it really annoys me. It acts as a mouse on desktop, big picture and in-game. How can i disable this? I tried messing around with the bindings outside of the game but to no avail.

Hey, I'm a fellow penguin fan myself, Did you find a way to disable this? I'm having the same problem in games like Death Stranding where trying to callout renders my controller useless for a second as it keeps trying to act as a mouse and controller at the same time. Much appreciated!

***EDIT: For anyone else having this issue, Click on settings in the top right (Linux user will know) in setting scroll down to mouse and touchpad>>>> Disable touchpad

PROFIT!!!

Im using Plasma and i went to the System Settings > Input Devices > Touchpad. Then uncheck 'Device enabled'. Best part is you can still use the touchpad buttons.

Actually this only works for the current session and not after a reboot. To disable the DualShock 4 and DualSense touchscreen permanently follow this [wiki.archlinux.org]
