Switch Pro controllers having drifting issues on PC/Steam, but none on a Switch console?
If there is a better place to post this, please link me. I searched for a community group before posting and the only popular group I saw was the Steam Controller group, which seemed way more focused on the actual Steam controller rather than the general gamepad support that came out of it.

I've been using 3 Switch controllers(2 official first party, one PowerA Gamecube knock off) for awhile now; they had become my personal favorites to use on PC. But suddenly, like about a week ago, they started having really bad drift. For example, the mouse cursor would continue to slide after letting go of the stick in desktop mode. I confirmed this within the Steam calibration Window, with the sticks neutral positions being way off center. I might take a screenshot if its needed.
-Only my switch controllers have this problem. My PS4 and Xbone controllers are fine. PS4 is connecting over bluetooth while the Xbone uses the official Microsoft USB dongle.
-This problem started on all controllers all at once, so I doubt the problem is in the controllers themselves.
-The drifting can be seen both in Steam configuration as well as Windows 10 gamepad tester.
-As mentioned in the title, I booted up my Switch(which had been collecting dust up to this point) and it had absolutely no issues, neither in the Switch configuration testing tool or in actual gameplay. The test showed perfect precision.
-I have recently had to reinstall a new motherboard, and it is possible there might be something wrong with my pci Wifi/Bluetooth adapter since putting my desktop back together. I will be testing on another PC after writing this post, as well as double checking my card.

I'm a bit unfamiliar with this issue; what could cause drifting issues like this if not the controller itself? Poor bluetooth reception/disruption? An update to Steam that causes issues? I remember Nintendo had to put out a hotfix for an update because it caused issues with Pro controllers specifically. I'm just not sure what I should be looking for here.

EDIT: Fairly certain I got it fixed. If anyone else has an issue similar to this, if your bluetooth card is like mine in that it runs through a cable to an antenna that can be hung up, be sure to space it away from other cables coming from the PC. I had bunched my cables up to keep my cat from attacking them, and the ethernet cable was close enough to affect it with noise. I've spaced the antenna cable from it as well as video cables, and now its at a much more acceptable level of drift(within the default deadzone settings steam applies).

You could also just be smarter about your part buying decisions and get a bluetooth adapter with a regular stick antenna... I'm honestly not getting any benefit out of this design.

I have had a similar problem with my 360 controller. I always have to adjust the dead zone for the sticks in the configure controller menu.

It’s a year late, but I think I figured it out.
It’s not a drift: Your controller is using the motion controls option to move your mouse.

That’s the problem I had in this case anyway.

I don’t remember, but it involves turning off the motion controls and tbh I don’t even know if that worked
