Steam Family Sharing Not Working
I recently bought Dark Souls 3 and allowed my friend access to it via steam family sharing, and he was able to play it for a few hours with no issues a week ago. Today, he would like to play it again and is unable to play the game on his account, with "purchase" being the option instead of "play" in his Dark Souls 3 section in his steam library. This has not been an issue of me playing games at the same time as him, as I have been offline. I have made sure that his account and PC are authorized under family sharing, and he has restarted his PC multiple times. What can he do to finally be able to play Dark Souls 3 again instead of being prompted to purchase the game? This issue is very annoying for both of us.

Dark Souls 3 can't be shared anymore, it was disabled a few days ago.

Why was this done? I can't use steam sharing anymore either and I would've bought the game while it was on sale had I known I'd be restricted by a $60 paywall.

The dev removed it from the feature.

People were using it to cheat. Sounds like the game doesn't use VAC bans or game bans, so there would be nothing stopping anyone from sharing the game with an alt account to ruin the game for others.
