Logitech G502 mouse
I just purchased the above mouse but I don't know how to program the buttons. I would like to play Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic which requires the keyboard but if possible I'd like to use the mouse on the game. Can someone direct me to a good site or youtube link that will show me how to program the buttons? A recent site (within 2020) would be helpful. The only sites I've found are a year or more old and the formatting from then to now is way different.

Use the Logitech Gaming software and make a profile for the game.

Provided you don't have the Lightspeed/wireless G502 to use LGS, Logitech Gaming Software. I doubt you'd find any tutorials within the last few years. Logitech stopped updating it as their newer and suckier GHUB is their platform now. Personally I recommend LGS as it better. Sure it's older and not as flash but it has more features unlike GHUB that misses plenty. Seriously a G502 has how many buttons yet Logitech still hasn't added a right click menu resulting in 3-4 more clicks for basic stuff.

Needs 2 screens to see and edit buttons versus one in LGS.
I could write over a page detailing why not to use GHUB. Shame as I got a G502 before xmas and tried to persevere with it....finally had enough and purchased a G502 Hero. Having a wired version with LGS is way, way, way better than wireless and GHUB

Actually I did purchase the G502 Hero, that is the one I'm trying to program. I know on the keyboard WASD are used for movement but with the G502 having 11 programable buttons I want to be able to use one button to more forward, one to move back, one to interact, one to attack, etc. The problem is I can't figure out how to program the buttons. Do I need to purchase the game first?

I'm, still waiting on my Hero to arrive and stuck with Ghub till then.

Along the top you'll see profiles. Click the + icon to create a new profile. In that window name it and there should be another + to link the profile to the application. If you don't have the game you can't do that step yet. Save/Ok that window.

With that profile selected look near the bottom and you'll see icons for Buttons, Sensitivity and Lights. Select the Buttons.

If you have a game installed if can scan and pull info for games. For example it might have a z - Block, T - blast or something. You can drag those to whichever button you want.
Optionally you can right click any button and assign a new command to it. Have various categories to choose from. Select or create what you want here and assign it to the buttons.
