Open world sandbox game?.
I kind of got stuck in playing games. I really want to try something new. It has to be a sandbox game. If you have anything in the mind. Share it with me.

RimWorld, Stardew Valley, Terraria, Starbound, 7 Days to Die, and Don't Starve are all highly rated sandbox titles you can look into.

modded skyrim.

Planet Explorers but I just tried the demontration and controls are just like RPG genre which did disappoint me.
There is also ARk Survival Evolved, SPORE, Garry's Mod.

Unfortunally is required to have all other essential game content from Valve, otherwise you will be unable to use modifications or join servers or have fun actually.

Ark is pretty much the only 3d open world sandbox that seems to be going anywhere. 7 Days to Die would be ok, but it's huge and only offically supports 8 players per server.

Ark runs their servers at 70 players per server, but when the servers are full, they throttle down the NPC dino population to try to curb lag. It sucks having to set your alarm clock for 3am when no one is on your server to try to find, and tame the dino that you want. Other than that, it's much fun.
Well if you're bored I'd check out Castle Crashers and Dino D Day from your inventory. Portal is a little easier (at first anyway) than Portal 2 if that's why you quit on the latter.

For a sandbox game I'd get Tropico 4 when it's next on sale (as it is on GOG now). Probably the most playable city builder game out there.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 and 3 have aged but they still provide some good play experiences.

VERY off the wall is Startopia - a space station management game. The main campaign is very short but it's a lot of fun.

And I've heard the name Minecraft. Don't know much about it but it may be worth checking out.

S.x.

Minecraft is a fun place to go, but there are some underage people in certain servers, not all are adults.
Unlike some people, they trashtalk about Minecraft.

Minecraft is recommened.

And yeah, Garry's mod is fun too! :)
