what motherboard are you using?? also 4.3ghz is turbo speed of that cpu did you disable turbo and oc all cores from 4ghz to 4.3ghz?

Basic FX overclocking, make sure you have a good quality mobo and cpu hsf, go into bios, disable c1e/coolnquiet/turbo core.

Next manually set your cpu volts to 1.35v bump the multi up to 22 x200 =4400mhz aka 4.4gz.

Adjust from there to finalize your overclock like you might get 4.5-4.6ghz out of 1.35v all cpus are different, if you can get a stable 4.4ghz out of 1.3ish volts good for you but to start at 1.35v is safe.

Lastly cpu temp really shouldn't exceed 52c ish under %100 load across all cores the cpu is rated for 62c max 52c leaves you some wiggle room.

For my fx8350 at 1.35v 4.4ghz with a good enough hsf my temps don't go over 42c ish during gaming but running a benchie or encoding using 100% of all cores it'll hit 48c-50c ish. Idle doesn't much matter but now in the fall of westcoast Canada 26c in summer 30c ish.

as has been asked
what motherboard do you have?

if the board doesnt have proper power/support/cooling that could all be leading towards your problem.

I have a Gigabyte motherboard that has good cooling but im not sure if this is a good mobo

Use CPU-Z or HWMonitor to tell us the exact model

i have a gigabyte mobo and i used the multiplier to OC all of them, i also turned it down to 4 GHZ with 1.5v

I have the GA-78LMT-S2PT

Yeah that isnt a good enough board.

It may be good enough to run WITHOUT an overclock

But for those CPUs they require a decent 970 OR 990FX chipset board for anything more than standard operation.

others familiar with FX CPUs will tell you the same thing.

Just a lil future tip
Just because something is supported, doesnt mean its fully supported or recommended.

+1 its a 760g board with NO vrm cooling..

The 760g is not considered a good enough board.

The cpu at 1.5 volt is still way too high especially at stock clocks.

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4129#ov

I looked to board over and it's one of the bottom end boards.

http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4129

If you look at the cpu support list you'll notice the cpus are at 95w max but your fx8370 is at 125w so I would consider yourself lucky the fx8370 runs at stock and leave it alone.

So basically get a new Mobo

""""So basically get a new Mobo""""

If you want to overclock yes if you just want to use stock clocks keep using that one until whenever or when it dies.

i would personally get a new board (good 970... or 990x/fx) because there not bad chips when you get the best out of them on a good mobo.. 8350/70 still games quite well
