Good Voice Chat program for LAN use.
I plan most of my multiplayer games over LAN. As the people I play with are in other rooms I havealways used Ventrilo to create a local voice server as it was light and easy to use.

Since updating to windows 10 the ducking feature no longer works(mutes all other sound when you transmit).

If there is any ambient noise (Music, games sfx etc); it creates a great deal of distortion to anyone receiving audio from that player making it impossible to interprit.

Having no ducking is a deal breaker so I am looking for a suitable program to replace Ventrilo.

Features I am after:

- Ducking
- Pick which audio devices are used for sending and playing voice.
- The ability to host over LAN
- Easy setup
- Light and easy to use.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can try Garena Talk tho it works perfect when I play Dota2 with my friends. Just Google it and you will find the official website at the very top of the search result,:steamhappy:

No I think but it easy to use , easy to setup and does not duck, the only problem is it does not have the ability to host over the lan, it quite hard to find a voice chat program which fulfill all your requirements though:steamhappy:

You still need help with this? That's fine but just say so then and don't be al dramatic about bumping since it just looks bad.

Is LAN hosting that important? Discord is real popular and easy to use now, it fits all the different needs you have besides LAN.
The "ducking" thing in discord is called "attenuation"

You could just run a TeamSpeak3 server locally. TeamSpeak3 is a fairly powerful communication platform, I used it frequently until Discord became too mainstream to ignore.
