Can I make a return on the gift in Steam ??
I have a familiar clandestine account trader. Buys games at a discount, and then "gives" (sells) at discounted prices to others. I bought it from him, thinking that I will help him with the sales, and I will buy the game myself. He sent it to me in the form of a gift. I activated it and it turned out that it is too demanding for my PC. I want to make a refund. Is it possible to make a refund for a gift in the Steam NOT ON THE ACCOUNT of a friend (who bought it), but ON YOUR ACCOUNT? Because an acquaintance says: I will not give you the money.

No, the account who made the payment will get the money back when a refund is done.

Here's a link to the refund policy: http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/

"The money spent on the gift will be returned to the person who purchased it."

I know the return policy! This item interferes. Can I make sure that the funds are returned to my account? After all, I bought!

No. If you refund the game, HE will get the money. The money will ALWAYS go to the original buyer of the gift. It does not matter if you "bought" it from him later. Which is against the rules anyway.

No, the funds didn't come from your Steam account so they won't be returned to your Steam account.

Valve does not facilitate "clandestine" trading. (your words)

In fact, they actually warn users about such trades. If this "friend" of yours is actually a friend, then surely you can arrange a refund through him.

How to understand compensation through it? So that he could be transferred to the money, and he transferred them to me? Or that he agreed that the money came to me?

No. That has nothing to do with that. Its for when you fall outside the refund rules ( 2 hours played, 14 days since purchase) .
The money will ALWAYS go to the original buyer. Nobody can help you there, not even Steam Support.

That's how it works if YOU bought the game. A purchase will not be refunded to a different account period.

I thought you said this guy was your "friend?"

He's my friend. Do not say that it's good, but do not say that it's bad. But he said: "The day they wanted to buy I will not"

In general, I realized that it will not work. Then I'll play with ARK in the lag. Thank you!

You could refund the game, he would get the refund. It sounds like you're saying he wouldn't pay you the money back though. Sounds like a really crappy "friend."

You should try to make some non-clandestine friends. I guarantee your "friend" doesn't have some super secret source of cheap game keys.

You can buy these cheap game keys/gifts yourself from third-party key resellers. These are often referred to as "grey market" and usually not recommended for numerous reasons...including this.

Are you sure that isn't what you did and your "friend" just doesn't have a return policy?

Not sure. The choice to me still did not leave. Have to play in what lags. - ARK. Thank you for the discussion))
