FIXED: Half-Life Platinum Pack games replaced with Secrets of Arcadia

So, apparently Steam have been having some kind of trouble with their database and the database updates have been disabled for most of today. When the updates started rolling again something obviously went wrong and whole bunch of apps were removed from some of the oldest Steam packages and for some reason a game called Secrets of Arcadia (not "yet" released on Steam) was added to these packages.

Licenses for packages are what you actually buy on Steam and they can contain any number of apps (such as games, tools DLC, ...).

What the hell is going on. For some reason Counter-Strike 1.6 was just removed from Half-Life Platinum Pack. And now I have something called Secrets of Arcadia in my games library.

same here. cs 1.6 wants me to purchase it and says pre load complete, half life wants me to purchase it, all the free half life mods have disapeared. i too have secrets of arcadia appear in my games list.

Half Life Anthology broken by Secrets of Arcadia (Can't play hl1, no longer in account)

Mine (and several other people's) Half Life Anthology has been replaced in our accounts by a Greenlight game called Secrets of Arcadia. There is already a pretty detailed thread going in the HL1 discussions. Going to link it instead of rehashing everything that's been said there.

same happened here i managed too install it and browse the files but there were none .. i think that valve were hacked somehow and they replaced the files with that game .. its still in my download list the game actually exists

but they dont exist on steam at all

this is a very concerning thing .. i know they have fixed this now
but it sets me thinking how safe is our library's of games

i have been noticing valve has been repairing the older half life games over the last few weeks
due too some issues that have appeared im wondering did they do this to such old games
as they knew this was possible ? maybe lol .

or is it this is all a ruse for the up and coming HALF LIFE 3 (CONFIRMED) oooOOoOh

I'm pretty sure it was just a database bug/glitch.

Your theory is that someone hacked Valve's servers with the goal of replacing CS 1.6 with a greenlight game.

Think about it.
