Discovering game files, Mount & Blade: Bannerlord.
Have 2 PC's, downloaded the 31 GB's on one PC, transferred game files onto second.

*Install*
*Discovering game files*
*Proceeds to download the entire game files over again*

Tried restarting steam,
Tried making the original folder and moving files into it then validating game files
This always works with every game I download, seems to me this one doesn't feel like working.
If you can think of it, I probably tried it.

???????????

Any thoughts?

You need the games appmanifest (acf) file as well.

You need to copy over the correct appmanifest file too. Only that tells Steam that the game is installed.

In the Steamapps folder, look for the file called appmanifest_261550.afc
That is the one for Bannerlords.
Copy if over to the other pc at the same location, steam/steamapps folder and the game folder to steam/steamapps/common.
Then restart Steam, Bannerlords will now show up as fully installed and ready to play in your library.

Hello Ogami,

Not sure if I understood correctly.
I have probably the same situaction as Chainjaw.
I can open M&B:Bannerlord directly in the path:

D:\Game\New File\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\bin\Win64_Shipping_Client
[\b]

But i cannot run the game directly via Steam. Steam asked me to install game (cannot find the game).

I found the file "appmanifest_261550.acf" in D:\Game\New File\steamapps - see attached file.

Where should I move it?

or

Any support will be welcome. I would avoid reinstall of game, especially that it seems on issue in Steam.

Regards,
Jacob

Try the steps from here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=379830692

It seams that my file was empty. The .acf check the following parameters
"BytesDownloaded" "0"
"AutoUpdateBehavior" "0"
If there is "0" that tells Steam nothing downloaded, and the behavior tells Steam downloading this game automatically or not. Change to "0" to any digits.
Full code you will find in mentioned web.
