Trade Ban??

I got trade banned for some random reason. my profile name and profile description has been changed in to this:

Profile Nickname: Trade/ Banned

Profile Real name: 24h - Trade Available

Profile Description:

Your account will be blocked by TradeBan (in any game) within 24 hours, the possibility of exchange will be blocked, you will not be able to access the skins. Regards, Steam Community: Valve

Your account has been compromised. You are not banned and DO NOT TRADE else your items will be phished.

You need to do the following urgently, in order and without fail:-

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/

2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

3. Change passwords from a clean computer

4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App

5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Stop giving away your credentials to phishing sites. You can change your profile picture, name and description too once you've done the above steps.

How do you revoke the api key?
i've done all the other steps but then after i revoke the api key it makes me register for a new one. do I just make a new one or is there something else that i have to do?

If you've revoked it just leave it blank.

Once those are done, change your profile name, description and picture back and stop giving away your credentials to phishing sites.

Then do the steps in order to secure your account. Read through this thread carefully. Once you've done everything, you can change your profile picture, name and description back that the hijackers changed.

You didn't even need to post. Just read and do what is stated.
