Hl2 mod The Hidden: Source, servers not working anymore, game may die

I'm a long time member of the community of this mod and at one point this mod was actually fairly popular. It's 11 years old and once had a thriving community but has dwindled to a very small one. This game is threatened though because for some reason, none of the servers are showing up any longer on the main server list, for anyone that I know. It is still unknown exactly if it's this way for all players but since it's happened to multiple old time players it could be that this has happened to all players.

This means that no one, neither old players nor new players can play on all of the servers. The new players might not even be able to play at all since some hidden servers still show up on the history list if you have played on hidden servers before this happened. Again, it is still unknown if this is affecting all players or just the old time players that have had the game for a while.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone has any info on why this might be happening that would be great as well. The game runs on sdk_base 2006 so if anyone knows of a similar thing happening to other mods using this please comment about it. This game is incredibly unique and has provided great times to tons of players through out the years its been around. Some popular youtubers have made videos about the game like Seananners and whenever that would happen a boost of players would fill the servers, revitalizing the community.

I'm going to try to talk to steam support to see what might be causing this but I currently don't know where to go or look to be able to talk to the right people who might know what's going on, so if anyone knows who to talk to about this sort of thing please tell me. I'd really like to see this game continue on through the years ahead, regardless of how old or outdated it might seem, or even of how little players there are now. I've seen this game go through ups and downs and this is by far the closest its ever come to death. This is actually the only thing that could realistically kill the game and its happened, so far as we know, for everyone.
