my steam overlay is too small to use please help

so i got a new computer and now 4 outof 5 games have a steam overlay that istoo small to use and while i could probaably live with that whe i open the web browser it either A. opens so large that the computer screen cant handle it and thus the whole overlay crashes until i eit the game or B. while browsing it will freeze. in instance A it politley closes itself nd allows normaal gameplay in instance B i can easily hit the overlay key and close it with gameplay running as usual but this is incredibly annoying as it is very difficult to steam chat due to the smaall size and i cant play music or search up images to share while in game
I have tried setting the resoloution too a whole bunch oof diffrent things but it never works. sometmes the overlay is too big as well like in stellaris and in 7 days to die aas well as most other games on steaam its too small. for whaatever reaason warframe has a normaal size

in anycase I typically use 1360x768 as that has actually corrected a few games in the past but my laptop tells me its resoloution is 1536x864 any help would be apreciated

Steam overlay usually goes to just the right size when the resolution is 1080x1920. Anything higher than that makes it too small, and anything under makes it to large. That's for me, at least.

so it sounds like the overlay has a sweetspot i need to find. im assuming yur computer hasa natraul low resoloution?

I have ultra resolution normally, which is an upscaled 1920x1080.
