Uploading screenshots from a Non-Steam game to Steam
Hi guys; I took some screenshots from a Non-Steam game and want to display them on my Steam Profile. There must be a way I can do that; how?

All images are comfortably within the TOS, it's mostly landscapes.

Add them as artwork. Just click on artwork on your profile.

Your welcome.

Any size restrictions I should know about? These are pretty big images, big dimensions with a lot of detail and quite a big filesize.
Not that im aware of.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=727356519 this is mine and it's pretty big if you look on the right hand side you can see the size.

1. Download VLC Media Player and install.

2. Find the VLC .exe and rename it to the name of the game you'd like to upload screenshots of.

3. Add VLC as a non-Steam game and launch through Steam.

4. Open the image in VLC (Make sure to change the file type to all in the open box)

5. Make full screen and press F12.

6. Rinse and repeat for each screenshot and when you close VLC the Steam uploader will pop up.

Maybe it's a pain in the ass to set up at first, but if you upload a lot of non-Steam screenshots it's pretty useful.

If you want to allow Steam to keep screenshots of non-steam games you can add the game to your library. Just click on Games and look for Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library. After that select the game from the list, or look for that games .exe file using the browse button to add it. Once the game is added you can launch the game from Steam and take screenshots all you want. I did this when I want to take screen shots from playing modded Doom.

I don't believe that's an option here, this game has a very unusual file structure. It's an Xbox Crossplay game, from personal experience many PC programs have a fit when they try and interact with it's filetype. It sets off a lot of security programs for some reason, my AV had a panic attack when I installed it - it thought it was some kind of terrifying 40GB virus.

Yeah, you can't add UWP (Win 10 Apps) as a non-Steam game because they do not use win32 executables (.exe files) like standard applications. They're also encrypted.
