Controller Afterglow 360 blocked on vibrating on PC
I foound my controller afterglow for XBOX 360 unplugged while I was in Dark Souls 3 menu.
I plugged it in.
Now it keeps vibrating, and there's some mess with buttons, as in some DS3 menu (item selection), I go upward. LB and RB seems inversed (I need to push them to unactivate them).

I think that something in the controller hard or soft is bugged.

I resinstalled the driver, recalibrated, without effect.

I don't find any reset button, nor any tool to open controller setup or memory.

Until now, it was work perfect.

If someone has idea, he is welcome.

the controller cant be programmed as far as I am aware so I think that DS3 made a save file somewhere on your pc

seems to be the controller itslef, because i get the same problem when i connect it to a new pc, it keeps vibrating as soon as plugged
I'm using windows 7 x64 ultimate and my pdp afterglow 360 wired controller don't do this. Try the controller on another pc and see if it still does it if it don't then your pc is doing something to it if it does then maybe the controller is the problem.

Well, then consider the controller broken. Ask in the manufacturer forum if there's a solution.

it s a shame to throw a good controller because its blocked in some state. there should be a way. There's no tools that allow to customize or intereact directly with controllers ?

Sure, theres the Windows DDK. But that won't help if the actual controller is broken. In that case, you'd need to get PCB schematics and the firmware sources from the manufacturer and get cracking with an ISP.
If its only about the vibration, open it and unsolder/cut the vibration wires.

Thanks for all the comments.
I bought a new one, and it is working. Its a shame for them as every piece of the controller is still working, but it is stuck without a way back.
looks like Planned obsolescence to me.

Well, here's the thing. Microsoft's own controllers aren't the cheapest out there, but they're of high qualifty. The cheaper aftermarket devices are cheaper but, you know what the say: Buying cheap is buying twice.
