I wanna remove my phone number and change new number cause old number no longer access

Dota needed a phone number in order to search a ranked match but the old number no longer access and i would like to change a new number please get me help as soon as possible.

Do you have access to mobile authenticator? Or did you just only have phone number attached and no mobile authenticator?

no mobile athenticator just attached and ive request for help the steam support team havent reply me since 24hours i really urgent please do help me to solve this thanks

Ya I know but it’s already so long I also need it why can’t steam make it simple just change phone number can’t we just verify from email ? Why changing a phone number we still need to wait steam support to reply ?

Because being able to neutralize an anti-hijacking measure via some way less secure means is a ridiculously stupid idea. Do you also ask for your car to have a simple "open" button in case you lose your key?

The phone# can be used to recover your account in case you don't have the password so yes, it is changing the password.

I don’t have mobile athendicator last time I attached my number is for ranked match . I attached the number inside the dota 2 game I don’t even wanna to attach number to be honest

Doesn't matter. The phone# can be used to recover a stolen account (or to hijack it) with or without the mobile authenticator.
