Monitor keeps on going into "power saving mode" while playing any steam game
No matter what my monitor goes into power saving mode whenever i try to play a steam game but any other non steam game works perfectly fine.
I also cleaned everything from dust and it's not a overheating problem.
Please Help.

That shouldn't be related to overheating.

Power saving mode means not in use, or you have settings on OS to set display to sleep, or power saving mode on a timer.

Right click on the screen at your desktop, choose display setttings, choose power and sleep. Turn off power saving or turn off sleep... The good thing about sleep in general is that it lock your PC, and you have to write in password, in case someone try to steal it. But you can turn the timer up to several hours before sleeping for example.

Also i forgot to mention that when it goes like that everything still stays on and i can hear the game. And my screen and sleep are both on never.

If display is not on power saving mode in the display own settings, and OS settings doesn't have power saving, or sleep mode enable.

Then possibly may relate to Video drivers issues. But it's not for certain if that's the case.

I did a clean reinstall of the drivers but it's weird that only steam games cause this issue.

Did you use DDU, display device uninstaller? It's made specifically to clear registry, and delete files if the video drivers may sometimes don't remove, or delete.

Did you manually install your video drivers, or did you let Windows do that for you?

Did you ever do anything to motherboard BIOS settings like power saving?

Did you check your monitor panel settings, as monitors has their own built in software for their own settings.

Could try running Steam as admin, or disable Steam overlay, and see if that has any affect, but this is a guess for now.

I done everything you said and installed manually the drivers and checked my monitor for those options.

Hi Reed-7,

I hope you're well.

I noticed your message and I wonder if you have found a solution to this problem? I am experiencing the same problem right now.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
