BTW, this happens for me for a Win10 host machine, trying to remote play from a Mac OS X 10.15.4.
For me, it worked to start the game from the host machine (Win10 in this case), and then just connect from the guest machine (Mac), as opposed to starting and connecting from the guest machine.
- start any remote play game on steam mac and invite anyone
- it will not work either, but a message will pop up to link to a driver to install
- install it
- restart and get invited by the Windows player (in my case it was the host, but the issue was fixed after that)
- now on mac 'always ignore' was clickable, and the message never showed up again and we could play without any problems.
So after all Steam could fix this by giving the possibility to install that even when invited.
Hope it helps ;) Good luck
