Report them and the person they refer you to.
Even if you somehow had, Moderators or Valve employees would never contact you through a user account.
This too. If Steam Support had to contact you for anything you would get a red ! mark in the upper right corner of the Steam client. A "account alert".
Thats the ONLY way Support will EVER contact you. Not via chat, not via adding you as a friend nor with a message on your profile.
Just that red ! account alert in your client.
