why can't i use my bdo debit card in steam to purchase steam games.this message pops up whem im purchasing my game from steam ( your purchase has not been completed. your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company. note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. after correcting any errors in the information displayed below, please try your purchase again.) although im using a debit card it says my credit card company declines my purchase.by the way im using a visa debit card

you need to contact your bank and ask them why they keep declining the purchases. they say "credit card" because while it is a debit card it still works and functions like a credit card from Steam's perspective.

Your BDO is debit, but you fail to realize you have a Visa attach to your account, which Visa is a credit card.

Master card, Visa, American Express, or etc credit card companines are a credit card, that should be a hint alone right there.

You have a debit credit card to put it right terms. Your card can be used as a debit card for devices you side your card into, or as a credit card, but for buying things online, it's only possible with your credit card side, if not going to link bank debit to other bank transfer such as Paypal, or etc, hence your visa as the credit card that on your account / card. Do you understand now?

Also as rawWwRrr explain above, please contact your provider why they're blocking Steam, and if they are, ask them to not block Steam, and ask how long it will take before you can use it with Steam, you may be ask bunch of questions by your provider to verify your identity, just like all services do such as banks, or credit cards compaines.
