Game Server Routing Issue: Connected internet, but can't connect to Steam or any other game servers.
I am experiencing a routing issue with my home network. I can reach the internet through every program that isn't for gaming, as well as browse anywhere on the web. The issue is that Steam, Origin, and Microsoft Apps (Forza) all fail to connect to the internet and force me into offline mode.

I've done all the normal troubleshooting and found that on different networks, my PC functions normally. On my public college network and my cellular hotspot, my PC can connect properly. I've contacted my ISP and they've assured me that nothing is blocked from their end.

The problem persists with both a wired and wireless connection. Other devices, on my home network, experience the same issue.

I'm completely stumped on this one; does anyone have any ideas?

Things you can give a try, no guarantees if it will fix your issue, best of luck.

- If using wired, ensure the ethernet cable not faulty, if using wifi the chip not having issues. Ensure network drivers not having issues.

- Ensure that you're not downloading, or having high hardware usage when doing internet speed test as can affect your speed test results.

- Modem / Router need a reboot. In rare cases depending on device in question, a manufacturer reset may solve issue, do hardreset by pressing it switch, normally it be a pin hole you need to fine, and use a pin to hold the button down to hard reset the device back to manufacturer default.

- If you did anything in the Modem / Router settings, check your work to ensure you're not blocking things.

- If using some 3rd party software that manage incoming, and outgoing data on system, that may cause issues.

- If connecting to private VPN / DNS networks, they may also cause issues.

- Can try flushing your network, open command promt as admin, and give this a try.
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

If not working still try these in order, then restart, and test.
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

Thank you so much!! I hadn't thought to perform a factory reset of the modem, that was the solution!
