System Requirements

Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti (4GB), GTX 1060 (3GB), GTX 1650 (4GB) or AMD Radeon R9 280(3GB), AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB), RX 470 (4GB)

Just wow.

You expected that to run on an Intel video chip?
no i have a system fully capable of playing this game

Steam are refusing to refund DOOM ETERNAL stating that I have played for over 2 hours!! The game will not launch it states intel driver error, I tried everything to get it to work but the game never launched. Yet it is showing time played now 4 hours this is BS and I am sure others are getting this BS response from the thieves at STEAM. REFUND MY MONEY

Then why would you have an Intel driver error? Why don't you list your complete system specifications...

Is it possible your computer is not automatically selecting your video card to run the game and is using an integrated chipset instead? What video card do you have?
Thanks for asking my video card is a Geforce GTX 1070 16 GB Driver version 442.74. No idea why this one game would not see the card but anything is possible I suppose. I went step by step through each of Bathesda support page recomendations and nothing worked.
It sounds like a known issue they are working on...

Your operating system is likely not using it properly. If it's a desktop, go into your Device manager and disable the onboard graphics chipset if there is one, from the motherboard. Force the computer to use your video card. Windows 10 often resets this setting and has done this for quite some time now every time it updates.

Did this include opening up the Nvidia control panel to ensure that the game is using the video card? I have opened up new games for the first time before and they wouldn't run because they weren't making use of my video card and just trying to run a game on Intel. Here's how to fix that: https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/72567/can-i-force-steam-to-use-my-nvidia-gpu-instead-of-the-integrated-intel-card

If you still want a refund, follow the advice of politediligence - just don't try to troubleshoot in the meantime by opening the game, as that will just add to your play time.

Intel's integrated graphics chips do not meet the minimum requirements to run Doom Eternal. It sounds like the game was running in the background after you attempted to launch it.

In future, make sure you meet the minimum requirements to run a game before purchasing it. You can request a refund by going here:

https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithPurchase

Finding the purchase, and choosing "I have a question about this purchase". Politely explain the circumstances, and cross your fingers, because you are outside the limits for an automatic refund.
Thank you for the advice, appreciated.

Thank you Madbone12 , I tried the solution and now there is no error message but the game will not load , displays running for maybe 4 seconds then ends without an error message.

Thanks Zekiran, I tied your solution and still no luck the game is acting differently now in that it no longer provides an error message it simply shows the game running for a few seconds then ends.
