Different country card

I just shifted and already changed my region on steam and getting my own card here will take at least a month.

Can i make a purchase from my freinds card which is of Uganda and am in India and my set is also just been set to inidan region.

Do not use another persons card. That will only create issues.

You need to have a payment method with a billing address from your new location tied to it.

Buy a physical wallet cards until you get your CC.

I also have a card from my previous country. (that time my region was Uganda same as the card)

Currently my region is India. So can i use my Ugandan card to make a purchase for my steam of a different region

What if I move and want to change my store country to the new location?

Go to your Account Details page where your store country is listed on the right-hand side under Store and Purchase History. Select Update store country. Once you have selected your new country of residence, your store region and Steam Wallet will automatically update to the new region/currency using daily exchange rates. Future purchases must be made with a payment method that matches the new Steam country.

if your friend is generous, ask him to buy you a Steam digital gift card (steam wallet gift) for however money you wanted... 20$, 50$, 100$ or whatever you chose. he can buy you and send you directly through steam, and youll instantly be able to use the funds. using other peoples credit cards is not recommended as cSg|mc-Hotsauce said.

And what if i use his card to load money directly in my steam wallet or that would be the same as purchasing the game and creating problems.


And if he sends me a gift card from Uganda in USD, will i be able to use it in my Indian Region Steam.

Don't use his card on your account.

The wallet card will auto convert upon redemption.

people can claim steam account by showing payment methods they used for it, therefore using someone elses credit cards on your account isnt safe. and there is no reason to, since he can buy and send you digital gift cards for steam instantly.
