steam always starts in offline mode

steam always starts in offline mode

whenever I boot up my PC and launch steam it's in offline mode and I have to click the button on the friends list pop-out to go online I'm just looking for someone to help me so my steam stops starting in offline mode whenever I start the app.

i have it on but its not working what do i do?

Bottom right corner of the Steam client, click on Friends & Chat.
