Hacked but still have access to account
so basically im quite young and i dont have a full understanding of whats going on but...
I recevied and email confirming my password change on gmail from someone called l [removed] so obviously its russian (at the end "ru")
so im confused because i didnt change my password so i go on my steam and it says
"is [removed] still you're email? Update it now to your current email.
So i do because i want my account to be safe.
then it suggests i send an email to verify my password to my real account(which is what i want)
so i click on it and i realise its says send to [removed] which isnt my email. so i click find other verification option which takes me to send sms to a number ending with
.....17 when my phone number ends with something else.
so i click on find other verfication option which only takes me to fill out this "survey" with old information that can link me to my old account which won't be quick because this russian can log me out or close my account or change password which will send to his email to change, leaving me with no power to keep my account. I have no VAC bans. Ive never traded with someone i dont know. I have no clue why this happened.

Thank you for reading this and for your help, unlike steam's!

Remove the email from your post.

Are you positive that the email was for "your" account?

Check the account name in the email very carefully.

You probably logged in on some fake website that had fake steam login :p
is [removed] still you're <--- email? Is that directly from the email itself? If so , the misuse of "you are" should be a dead give away that the email is fake.

Before doing anything in the internet, take your time to read about dangers in the internet.
The one who doesnt know
should be the sceptical one. Better safe than sorry.

If someone was able to change your email and even phone number, you leaked login details and codes. Or your phone or computer is infected.

Dont use links etc in emails. Always use your own bookmarks and steps to solve problems.
