How to unlink rockstar social club account from Steam?
Hi guys, my brother created a new RSC account when I first got the game without consulting me, I have another RSC account with a high level account. Tried linking it but it wont work, it keeps going to the one my bro created. How can I unlink this lvl 1 gta account and add my account with experience?

I noticed that steam has an option to remove a game from your account entirely in the support section. I wonder if during that and then re-purchasing the game through Steam would that fix the issue of CD key entitlement? And give you a new CD key I know this is a relatively dead post, but just wanting to add my pennies worth

Steam does not issue new CD keys, if you repurchase a game on same account.

Removing games merely acts as an advanced hide option. If you buy another licence of the same game then the previous licence merely gets re-activated.
I am in the same boat. I only use 2 email accounts for gaming stuff. I tried to reset both and got nothing. So i created a new one with one. Now I can play RDR2 because It is linked to an account that I can not access. Anyone find a fix to this, or a work around?

There is no work around Contact Rockstar support they link to steam, steam dont link to other client.
I tried contacting and I got reply that even if they do unlink account (link to another social club account) I will no longer be able to play GTA5 or GTA ONLINE
That is correct, as your game copy of GTA5 is linked to that particular Rockstar account and will not work unless that link and access is restored.
Thank you, do I submit it to Rockstar or Steam?
Rockstar of course. Steam Support can not assist with third party services.
Can I no longer play GTA 5 because I lost my Email account associate with it? As I can’t just log in and need transfer my steam account to new rockstar account because I lost my Email due my computer being hacked by something.
That copy of GTA V will only work with that particular linked Rockstar Social Club account. It can not be transferred to another account.

You must contact Rockstar support to regain access to the lost Rockstar Social Club account.

How stupid is that, imagine you buy a car and to drive it you need some kind of account from manufacture that is linked to your email account, and you change your email account, and you try to change your account , and you get a response, you can not drive your car anymore, it is linked for ever and ever with your old not existing email (account) , you must buy another copy of that car
Hey everyone,
I want to share my recent experience with unlinking a Rockstar Social Club account from my Steam account in hopes that it helps someone with a similar problem.

I purchased RDR2 on Steam. When asked to activate the product via the Rockstar launcher, it prompted me enter a very old email address to which I no longer have access. I needed Rockstar to unlink the Social Club account currently linked to my Steam account so I could link a new Rockstar account, activate my product, and play the game (why they require you to boot via their launcher for single player play is beyond me).

I opened a support ticket on Rockstar with my current Social Club account two days ago and received a reply today with the request for the following information:

"Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support.

We can help with this, but we need a few additional pieces of information first. Please provide us with the following information:

1. Screenshot of the game purchase receipt received in your email account showing the date and amount of purchase.

2. Screenshot showing you logged into Steam, with your Steam Profile name and Steam ID64.

3. The Steam ID64 typed into the text body of the request.
Sign in to Steam
Click on your Steam Profile name at the top right corner of the window and select “Account Details.
Take a screenshot showing your Steam Profile and Steam ID64 clearly visible on the screen
Copy and paste the Steam ID64 in your reply

4. If you received an error message when redeeming the code, please include the exact error message. The below information request is applicable if you own Grand Theft Auto V.

5. Screenshot of the Steam CD Key window clearly displaying the code.

6. The activation serial key typed into the text body of the request.
Right-click on the game in your Steam Library, select "Manage" and select "CD keys"
Take a screenshot showing your Steam Profile and CD Key clearly visible on the screen
Copy and paste the CD Key in your reply As soon as we receive this information, we will investigate and reply regarding the issue as soon as we can."
I answered the same questions about my account that I no longer have access to the email account. I gave them all the information they asked for. It was not enough. Rockstar responded back with a request that I give them the exact date I created a Rockstar account. I had no idea since it had been probably a decade or so. I guess I got it wrong because they said I was unverifiable as the owner and the ticket was closed. That was the end of that I guess.
THIS IS FREEKIN RIDICULOUS... HAVING TO GO THROUGH SO MUCH TO UNLINK THIS RIDICULOUS ROCKSTAR SOCIAL CLUB LAUNCHER... I CANT REMEMBER MY OLD EMAIL ASSOCIATED WITH ROCKSTAR, BUT I NEED TO SUBMIT A REQUEST TO THEM? I SHOULD BE ABLE TO UNLINK FROM STEAM'S END!!! F THIS I NEED A REFUND FOR GTAV!!! NEVER AGAIN BOYCOTT ROCKSTAR LETS GO!
