what happened

i baught space engineers during the free play event and after the free play event steam errored and it no longer says i own the game or that i even baught it, but i can call my bank up and it says that it has charged for the game!! may i please get the game back or get my 20$ back it would be much appreciated

Was your transaction successful?
Check this link to see the status of your transaction:

Pending means Valve hasn't got the money yet.
It can turn into;
1. Sucessful - You get the game/wallet money
2. Failed - You don't get the game/wallet money and your money is on hold, your payment processor will return it to you within the next few business days.

i know that i was charged for it becuase after i buaght it for myself i gift baught it for a friend, and why would i buy the dlc but not the game

and that doesnt help becuase it is not the issue, my friend has recieved the game i gifted him but i didnt get the copy i buaght and now i am short 1 of 2 copies of the game and/or 20$

it says the gift i send my friend was refunded, but when i call him up he says he has it and i am still not seeing the copy i buaght for myself

if i have to i will get a reciept from my bank showing purches for both copies of the game and for both purches of dlc

it only shows he recied both the copy and the dlc, it shows i recied a copy of dlc but no game

Sounds like a bug allowed you to buy the DLC but not the main game. Since you can't do gifts and purchases in the same transaction, select the transaction with the DLC on the page I linked, and select "I want a refund".
