Visual Novel Progress Erase

For a visual novel like "Wonderful Everyday," how would you go about erasing game progress? I'm not talking about userdata's save files. Usually in a visual novel, it can track where you've been, so a part of dialogue you've already read can be skipped, but cannot if it is not read.
I want to do this because I had to install a patch to access most of the game. I completed what I could and then installed. But installing the patch when the game isn't a brand new start may prevent the patch from working. I think this is what is happening to me, as I can't access the rest of the game.
I'm eager to fix whatever issues there are with the game, because it's a novel and experiencing it secondhand through a youtube channel really slows the pact.
