Games that can be played with left hand only.
Games that can be played with left hand only.
I broke my right (dominant) hand last week and am not able to do much with it ATMO. I might get wobbly use of a mouse in a few days but it's looking like WASD for a while.

Hoping for help finding a game I can play and enjoy with the physical setback.

I'm also interested in XBOX live games (i'm a stubborn 360 guy) that don't require swift right hand movement. Matter of fact, quick action will probably be out because my bad paw and the learning curve associated with teaching a new hand.

Looking for point and clicks, turn based RPGs, survival horror without much action, games with fantastic/creepy storylines.

A list of games I've loved or I'm interested in playing or revisiting:
FF7- played, loved
Alien: Isolation - This and FF7 were probably my favorite games of all time
Soma - have not played
Elder Scrolls - have played the last 3
Fallout 3/4 - have played
Fallout 1/2 - have not played, could potentially play with keyboard only
Limbo- have played
Inside - haven't played
Abe's Oddyssey- Have played almost all of em
Silent Hill - played em all
Dead Space - played

TL;DR I like storyline games where the action level is fairly minimal or am looking for interesting take-my-time turned based, games, full RPG or not. Although an older RPG may work well too.

I'm also on painkillers, so no gameplay that's too hard (scary/creepy is just fine)

If you have ideas for games here or elsewhere plase let me know. Also soliciting suggestions for an easy to use left hand dominant controller.

The Original Fallout is good. Fallout 2 not so much.
Any RTS game would do.
I'd recommend Tiberian Sun (if you care more about gameplay over graphics) or Tiberian Wars.

Nah. It's not mandatory. You've already done better than 90% of first posts by Steam users. Usually it's just gibberish.

Final fantasy 13.
Can play that with your feet if you wanted to.

You have a nice taste in games if you can appreciate alien isolation for it us an amazing game.

Thanks! Can't get into RTS games unfortunately. I'm kinda picky, sorry :(

Shadowrun: Dragonfall has a fantastic storyline and good tactical turn-based combat. It can be played entirely with the mouse (or touchscreen, if you have one). The combat can be challenging on higher difficulties, but easy difficulty is available.
If you're not familiar with the shadowrun setting, it's basically cyberpunk plus magic--orks jacking into the matrix, dragons running megacorps that rule the world, mages dueling with cybernetically enhanced snipers, etc. You play as a shadowrunner--a criminal mercenary specializing in doing infiltration, theft, etc. for clients who don't want to get their hands dirty.

It's the mouse hand that's bad. Looking for mostly keyboard hand games, but will check this out.
You can play this game using keyboard only, mouse only, mouse + keyboard, or gamepad only. It's setting- and story-centric and best known for doing that very well, though it also has a skill system with some interesting combos to explore.

europa universalis can be play with just mousey ;p
oh its rts tho
I can honestly say I can't really think of a left hand keyboard only game. The only one handed games I can think of are RTS, or mouse only. I was going to suggest Dungeons of the Endless, but no I will see if I can find something. Maybe the Telltale games, since they have fixed cameras and you can handle almost everything with a keyboard except pointing at items and the occasional aiming..

Stepmania.

Not a Steam game, but definitely a game that can be played by one hand alone.

So can Audiosurf I think. That's a Steam game.

Holy crap. I forgot games like that.

But I don't know any of that genre on steamm remaping you keys would be important.
I do have a horrible suggestion though. As I was typing this.. and this will get hate. Just play puzzle games. use the mouse with the left hand.

Some of the BIT:TRIP games can be played with one hand.

I don't know any "story games", since I tend to avoid those.
