Failed to Connect to RecNet

Updated Steam and RecRoom to the latest. (game downloaded fine)

The output file has some errors in it:
12/13/2016 1:36:14 PM|Fatal|WebSocket.connect|System.Net.Sockets.SocketException:
(Rough translation of Japanese) Failed to establish connect due to no response from callee within the designated time. Or no response from the host.

I tried setting the download server to Los Angeles and it made no difference.

Anyone know what might be wrong? I asked IT here about it and they suspected it was something on the game server's end.

Fwiw, I'm able to play QuiVR online multiplayer no problem.

I get this "Failed to Connect to RecNet" error on the loading screen where it shows the big RecRoom Logo.
