Steam downloads stating and stopping (FIXED)
Trying to download a update or a new game is near impossible now all of a sudden, i start off a download and it works fine for a few secs then itll just stop downloading for a while then start up again at a few hundred Kbps just trying to download a 20Mb update is taking like a hour, using origin to download is downloading fine at around 10Mbps so there is nothing wrong with my internet same using anyother program to download on my PC.
Now i have tried changing the region many of times that does nothing i have tried researching on the internet and have found no fix so im hoping one of you guys out there and help me out

This needs to be a thread all on it's own! Thank you!

Oh my god i was spending the last 4 hours googling seeing what the hell was going on with my downloads.
Having my downloads going to 0 then 40kb then 0 again then to 50kb over and over was starting to get annoying.

Thank you so much! I never had this problem before but whats Diagtrack and why does it cause problems now?

-EDIT- Still the downloading is a little bit unstable to what I am used to but atleast is doesn't stop or die.

A tracking service collects data about functional issues in Windows.
The description reveals no information about the purpose other than that it is collecting data about functional issues and sending those information to Microsoft.

but if its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my downloads i dont want anything to do with it!

After DiagTrack was turned off I had to pause and restart for the high speed transfer speed transfer. However, when I launched task manager to check for network throughput (cause I don’t trust steam), it dropped once again. So paused and restarted download once again it was ok.
