VAC BAN !

Hello guys, recently i get VAC banned on csgo, i was playing in a competitive match and my laptop was lagging, i tryied to close the anti-virus and other programs and quit the game, when i come back i reicive a message says "VAC banned from secure server" i have a demo from that match with my "highlights"
i don't want VAC ban because i didn't cheat...so what can i do ?

VAC bans are either triggered by game memory modification (cheats) of your game or multiple overwatch watchers who agreed you cheated.

Probably, you can't appeal your ban.

I know how overwatch works because i was on overwatch too, i forget to say that i was losing the match with 15-0...
i didn't cheat..♥♥♥♥ this valve..

Valve will not tell you why you are VAC banned. They also will not lift the ban upon request.

Yeah, i understand that. ♥♥♥♥ valve, ♥♥♥♥ the new updates, ♥♥♥♥ the fps drops. i didn't cheat and i will not play this game anymore.
8 from 10 matches is with russians, 4 from 10 matches is with cheaters and i get vac ban, good job valve.
only for turning off my antivirus and losing a match with 15-0 i get vac ?

If you wanna play the game again, here are my advices if you have Windows 8.1/10:

• Uninstall any Antivirus software and keep Windows Defender only, which does not mess with VAC.
  
• Deep scan your computer for malwares since they can trigger bans by editing the game memory.
  
• Don't disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention). Disabling it is a common reason for getting VAC banned without any reason at all.
  
• Disable Steam FPS Counter, since it uses DirectHook and could be detected as a cheat.
  
• Disable any other Overlay, expecially Discord Overlay and Raptr, except NVIDIA ShadowPlay which does not interfere with anticheats.
  
• If you use any recording software (except ShadowPlay, which does not interfere), don't hook it into the game: just put your game on windowed mode and record the screen portion of the game.
  
• If you opened before any weird program that modifies processes memory, reboot your computer. Also don't leave them opened in the background.

well congrats , i'm sure you have a bunch of alt accounts to fall back on .
or was it one of your alt accounts that got the vac and this one got the vac too cause of the link'n and the shared email.s and the phone #

Melody, I understand you mean well but please do not spread misinformation. VAC works by detecting known cheats. Things like the Steam FPS counter, antivirus programs, and recording software will not trigger a VAC ban.

They usually don't trigger VAC bans but they can. It's better to don't hook anything into the Direct3D layer of the game since it can edit the game memory and trigger the anticheat system.

No, they cannot. VAC is not heuristic. It detects known cheats.

If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing that game on VAC-Secured servers in the future.

The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modifications to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban.

VAC is just like any other anticheating system: yes, it detects known cheats through MD5 hashes etc. but it ALSO, during its execution, puts flags in memory to check whether last memory value of a determined address has been changed or not. ANYTHING that can edit in-game memory and edits it without permission WILL be detected as a cheat. Overlays SHOULDN'T be detected as cheats since they SHOULDN'T edit in-game memory, but some people say Discord Overlay does actually edit the in-game memory for some reason (some people claiming to be banned from GTA Online because of Discord, etc.). Disabling overlay is just for precaution. Some not-well-known antiviruses can scan for game memory and this can be detected by the VAC system (which, I repeat, operates like ANY other anticheat system).
