Download reset to 0% if Steam shut down.
I'll keep this quick. A while ago I was having a problem where if I was downloading an update or installing a game, if I shut Steam down for whatever reason (such as to shut my computer down for the day) it would reset the progress to 0% and begin the download all over again.

My computer went through a complete reset in October for unrelated reasons, and a clean reinstall of Windows 10 seemed to resolve the issue, since then I've upgraded to an SSD with no other similar problems.

However, just this week the Vermintide 2 update hit. I downloaded about 65% of it last night, with a plan to complete the download tonight. However, when I logged back in, the reset was back to 0% and had to start all over again.

Has anyone come across a solution to this problem? I'd rather not have to consider another complete computer reset, especially if that only proves to be a temporary solution anyway.

Thanks

How are you exiting Steam? Are you letting Steam sync to the network before exiting?

Well, now that you mention it, I usually pause the download, then go Steam>Exit. But yesterday I did just leave it downloading and hit Steam>Exit right away.

However, under the previous, pre-reset problem this didn't seem to make a difference. Don't know if it would now.
