Steam can't download and update games unless I'm using a VPN
Hi guys,

Does anyone know why Steam is unable to download or update any games, where it either stays at 0 bytes/s or just stops, unless I use a VPN?

No matter if I change DNS or switch between LAN and WIFI, Steam can't update any games. Port forwarding doesn't seem to help either. Maybe it is my router that's blocking Steam's CDN?

Change regions in the settings without the VPN active.

Hey, changing download regions seems to help for some people, but it didn't have any impact on my PC. I did notice that Steam tried to download a game at a few kb/s, but quickly stopped again.

Check https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711 and get back to us if you have all of these allowed on your home network.
