I need a screen recording tool (free and on Steam)

My phone camera is...well, everyone knows what happens if you record a device from another device. Does anyone know a screen recorder on Steam that is free?

What. The internet is way less trustworthy than Steam. On Steam, things get taken down, so there is SOME control. Not on the internet, nothing on the internet gets taken down unless it holds government secrets or stuff like that.

Steam: I might get a virus, but probably not
Internet: I could get a virus
Specifically Google: When did I get this virus?

I just deleted ShareX, as far as I know, all it does is take and edit screenshots.

If you have windows 10 it has game recording built in.

Also most graphics cards have some form of streaming recording in their software. Nvidia has shadow play thy can be used to record. Pretty sure AMD has similar.

OBS is the best.
It's free, easy to use and doesn't have huge impact on performance.

It's not on Steam, but I can guarantee you that you won't get any viruses by using it.

If youre a windows user, windows 10 has already installed free to use screen recording tool. No need to download all that random junk from internet.
Win+g to record and other options.

I cant configure it for you. You can try restarting your pc or opening a program then using it or troubleshoot online. Ive used it numerous times to record me drawing a digital painting and playing games without issues.
