Keep in mind that coupons don't stack with sale offers.
If the sale ends before your refund goes through then you will not be able to buy the game at sale price.
....unless you wait for a different sale to happen, perhaps some months later.
So you pretty much refunded for nothing.
Just out of interest, has anyone had a game refunded before? If so, how long did it take for your request to be responded to?
I read that if the game in question was purchased within 14 days and has less than 2 hours play-time (my game comes under both) then your request would be automatically approved.
I submitted this refund request about 45 minutes ago, and I understand I might not have waited long enough for approval, but I'm just worried, is all.

Steam also uses a tax % that, upon the refunding and/or purchasing a product under the purchase summary there's this % tax they apply, all the prices shown in steam ar tax included.
Purchases on products which wore/are in special disccount will be refunded to the price you bought it originally
