should i change my email adress ?

i had this email adress for years now , its a google adress i got with a youtube account years ago ( like in 2011 - 2012 or somehing ,and i never bother deleting spam )


also , i had a message from ubisoft about an "access from other ip " or something (despite using the google authentificator for uplay, i know this could just be a false thing from ubisoft but would it be better if i moved my steam , uplay and origin emails to a new adress thats not registered at listerally 200 websites that spam me with junk ?

i have 44k mails btw

Sure. Just remember it as it can be used for proof of ownership, just in case.

yeah , i still use the youtube account and all , that email is going to stay my primary email , i will just make a new one for my accounts , that way i dont have much spam ,and if i actually delete everything (such as "these games are on sale right now" it wont get to the point my current email is at )


would it be safe enough to use gmail for this ?

I use Gmail. It's fine. Mainly for game apps.

I've moved mine across 7 emails in over a decade.

thanks , i am going to change it to a new gmail account tomorrow

also , it would be a good thing for applying for a job as well , my current account is named after an anime character : death the kid , thats not exactly the ideal email name for applying at a job , and on a new email adress i wouldnt get like 5-20 youtube spam notifications a day either

just checked , i got 16 mails on the 3rd of april , from twitter, youtube , quora , all sorts of websites the amount of spam is just annoying
