Problem with claiming a gift from a friend

Evening lads,

One of my friends was so kind to gift me Ghost Recon: Wildlands. When i first tried accepting it, the loading screen that told me that the game is being put in my library just froze so I restarted Steam. I try to claim the gift again but I get an error telling me that something went wrong with my application/acceptance. My friend didn't decline the gift offer nor change any settings or whatsoever. I tried to find a way to message Steam Support via the 'Help' option but only stumble across links that don't talk about this matter.

Tell your friend to use the help, problem with purchase thing.

Meanwhile you try to find the email gift link, or the gift in the client again.

Cheers, I did try the email gift link via my mail and it gave the same error in the browser as in the client.

The game is in there. The gifter isn't online anymore atm but i'll ask him when he gets back

Then check your library. That link shows activated things

More than likely the client stacked it on the way but the gift fully processed anyway.

It will be in your game library. The gift accept screen always bugs out for me, but game adds anyway

A lot of thanks to everyone for you time & attention. I think there must of been something wrong with loading the game into my library or atleast the display. It didn't show in my library untill this noon. Problem solved, seems I just had to be patient.
