Controller for PC/steam simple set-up just to plug'n'play
So hello guys I'm looking for a controller to get for a steam games and need a little bit of help with choosing the right one.

I'm thinking about:
Xbox 360
Steam
Dualshock 4

I've never had a quality controller for steam games, always used cheap one and never had a problem with emulated games and all that but on steam my experience was terrible. Quite a lot of times cheap controller just does not work with some games. Other times it is hell to configure them and all...

So the real question is would any of my mentioned controllers would be as easy to use as plug 'n' play? And would it work with all games which support controllers or it would work with some and not the other?

And as for steam controller.. Are those trackpads really bad? how do they feel? any way similar to laptops? I hate trackpads on laptops and hate playing on touchscreen, so would the experience be any similar to that?

Right now I have cheap esperanza controllers and they work on gang beasts, human fall flat, marooners but does not work on tricky towers, pumel party and difficult to set-up for some other games.. just to name a few... - some time before it worked better with steam because those controllers had xbox button layout in steam big picture and right now they are shown to have playstation layout.

I use an Xbox One Controller and that seems to work pretty well. Before that I used a 360 controller.

Xbox One pad is the way to go IMO.

Okay, I'll take it into consideration BUT does it need any/ a lot configuration or it's kinda set up from the time you plug it in?
If I hook 4 of them will steam easily determine that they are not the same?
I know this might seem silly.. but I really had a lot of bad experience with steam and generic gamepads..

Well I haven't tried hooking up multiples, but I've never really had to do anything with my Xbox One Controller, it just seems to work with Windows... being Microsoft products and all.

I've played games with friends on one PC all using Xbox One controllers, it should work fine but it really depends on the game. You just plug them in and they work.

I've bought two XBOX 360 controllers to try ;))
We will see.. Thank you guys for your input.
If I like 360's I'll probably buy two more 360 or XBOX one controllers :PP

*bought 360 right now because it's quite cheaper than ONE.

360 Rock Candy controllers work alright, but not very durable. But if you're not worried about that, and your games have controller support, you should be fine.

Durability wise it should be fine ;)) I'm not very safe with controllers but once I grew out of my childhood never broke a controller again :DD
NES controllers got the ''angry me''. :DD
