Steam Re-downloading all installed games.

So yesterday I booted up steam and saw that every game I had installed was listed with an update. This includes games like Fallout (Yes the one from 20 years ago) and other old games that have not and never will be updated again. After starting one of the updates it just started redownloading the entire game... Any idea's on what's going on and if I can save myself from redownloading 80 plus games to fix this?

Same here. Almost every single game that I own needs an update. I've yet to lauch one of those games, so will see if I have the exact same problemo.

Make sure you try on a game that doesn't require a massive download first or you might have to redownload the whole thing.

well if you click the to update you will see that they are not downloading anything is like a bug issue

I didn't have to re-download any of my games. Btw what game you had to re-download?

All downloads seem to be 0 kb. Weird issue!

Edit: seems I have to do the 0 kb update before I am able to lauch the game.

Just to clarify this is not the same as the 0kb update thing. This is actually downloading the full game. Tested with several of them and downloaded the whole game for each of the ones I tested.

Have the same problem, except some game share the "downloaded content and progress"
The banner saga 2, sid Meirs Civilization 6, Rocket league, Just Cause 3, Middle earth shadow of mordor and Garry's mod (for the one i tested) all have a 797.6Mb update.
When i change game the progress stay the same : now i'm at 415Mb on garry's mod, if i switch to rocket league, it now say rocket league is at 415 too and keep downloading from there
Planet Side 2 has a update size of 1.5gb but still share the progress (if i switch to it when i'm at 450Mb on another game, it will start again at 450Mb)

downloaded 788 games with 0 bytes / 0 bytes..

I'm tired of this s*it because it's not the first time things like that happened, and everytime I have to press X to clear the download list for every single game.

I will smash the left mouse button if I have to keep doing this thing..

Got the same problem with about 50% of my libraries games... very annoying tbh. The games are definitly still installed, i tried to "confince" steam somehow, but it still want to download hundreds of gigabytes :(
