Saved games save at onedrive, but i don't want that. I only want them on my harddrive...
Hi,

when i play COH all my saved games get saved at my onedrive documents. Result: almost everyday i get mail that my ondrive is full and that i have to delete files. I don't want my saves to be saved at onedrive, I want them to be saved at my harddrive. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks

This isn’t normal behaviour, no Steam games save to your OneDrive by default.

When you're installing a game, you should be able to choose the file. When saving a game, just go mess around in the settings looking for the save game folder.

It's probably a folder that many games commonly use for save game files, such as Documents > My Games. This is ultimately a One Drive issue. The user has probably got it to set to back up everything in the Documents folder.

It's this ^ for sure. One Drive defaults to sync your documents folder I think. So yea that's what's happening.

Just go in to One Drive settings and turn off the folders you don't want synced.

When i installed the game, i chose to save on my harddrive (my D: drive) but still it saves on onedrive. When i delete the files in onedrive, they are also deleted on my D:

The imgur instructions list above doesn't quite do what OP wants. Going to {OneDrive Settings -> Account -> Choose Folders} lets you choose which OneDrive folders to have on your current machine. Unchecking a folder in that dialog removes the folder from your local machine. The OP (and I) want the opposite: unchecking a folder removes the folder from being backed up to OneDrive. As of writing this, I believe OneDrive does not have this exclude-subfolders-from-backup feature.

Your only hope : superuser link [superuser.com]
If you need more than this you basically need a new backup solution or to move the folder.
