Have to auth every time i switch account.
I used to be able to switch accounts seemlessly, between mine and my gf's, using Big Picture. No login required, no Steam Guard required. I would just press "Log out user" and click whichever profile i wanted to log in.

Since about 3-4 weeks, this suddenly stopped working. Now we have to type password and Steam Guard code every time we switch accounts.

Been googling this for a while, and the only proposed ideas I've found were to check the "Remember" checkbox while logging in (which I've never unchecked in the first place), and to uncheck the "Don't save account credentials for this computer" (which I've never checked).

Someone proposed deleting a file called "clientregistry.blob", but couldn't say where it should be located. I've done a file search, and I'm unable to find it.

I tried unchecking the "Remember" box, logging in, logging back out and checking "Remember" again and logging in again. Still doesn't work.

I don't even have to actually switch account for the auth to be required. I just press "log out user" in Big Picture then press the same account I just came from, and I still have to auth again..

Any help would be appreciated!

TLDR; Used to be able to switch accounts without having to enter pass/steam guard auth every time, randomly stopped working few weeks ago for no apparent reason.

It might not have the quick switch anymore, but I randomly just discovered that if you choose "Exit steam" instead of "Log out user", you'll have the option to log in to any of your stored profiles, without authenticating, when you re-launch it!

I have a solution for you all. you can create a steam shortcut on your desktop. and right click, go to Properties, and where it says Target, add at the end of the line after the Quotes, -login yourUserName YourPassword
so it should look like this...
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam.exe" -login GameCuunt itsAsecret
You can create a short cut for each account on your system, so if you have multiple accounts, or you share a computer with family, then create one for each account. remember to hit the logout when you exit, all done. Ill take my bow now. thanks.
