Need help with -> Store/Community web auth request failed: Auth error
For the past few days I had trouble logging in to steam using the steam application. Even if the steam app is loaded up, it seems like steam could not connect to the internet for awhile. I tried loading my profile but it seems to go on for a long time before it finally loads my profile page but it treats me as I was never logged in to steam in the first place ( the edit profile button didn't show up ). I have searched the forums and tried many things but they didn't solve my problem. I got console up and found this.

Failed to init SteamVR because it isn't installed
ExecCommandLine: "F:\Steam\Steam.exe -console"
System startup time: 735.71 seconds

I have a strong feeling it's somewhat connected to
Store/Community web auth request failed: Auth error
. Any ideas? It have been having trouble for quite some time now.

I got into steam beta as it somewhat helped me with my problem as it increases my chances of having steam actually working properly. Let me know if there's something I failed to mention or whatever I missed.

Start with the usual.
Start your system in safe mode (for obvious reasons with networking), does Steam work then?

Still no, but I later noticed this popped up in console \src\clientdll\clientjobupdatedepots.cpp (119) : Assertion Failed: CAppUpdateDepotsJob::InitPrimaryApp: 666220 missing required app 228980 Don't really know what means though.

Does deleting Steams web cache help?

I've tried that as well. Resetting dns stuff, deleted steam caches, even uninstalled and reinstalled steam. I've done them all but still no luck.

Change your DNS to 1.1.1.1. Does that help?
