Humble Bundle Gave out Uplay keys for Division, can i use it for steam?

I refuse to play the Division if it isn't on steam unfortunately, I've only ever played games on origins outside of steam just because the games on origin are good. the fact that division is on steam i was really wanting a steam key instead of a uplay key. Now this is a problem only for me as i should just suck it up and either play it on uplay or not play it all, but.... if there's a work around that would be ideal.

1. You have to use Uplay no matter what, as that how their latest games since 2012+ been. Uplay is Ubisoft DRM to ensure you didn't pirate the game, or got it from family share, or etc...

2. No you can't use Uplay keys on Steam, sorry. You could wait for sale to happen, then pick it up cheap, if you really want it on Steam. Also again, you still need to get Uplay either way, because of the DRM Ubisoft put in their games.

But if you did get it on Steam, you also get the copy on Uplay, by linking the account, keep in mind it's one time. But since this is Uplay keys they only work for Uplay client, which you need to get, sorry to break the news to you.

You have to use UPlay either way.. when you purchase a Ubisoft game on steam it requires Steam pushing that key over to a Uplay account.. then when you launch the game from Steam, Steam launches UPlay which in turn recognizes Steam launched it and launches the game..

either way, you can only use that key on Uplay, but buying it on Steam still would have required you to go through Uplay

i just didn't want to not have the hours tracked through steam or not be in my games list, i've played on free weekends and thought it was meh, but if humble was giving it to me i wanted it in my games.

Edit: and yes because i've played i have the client, just wanted it on steam for vain reasons

its a monthly bundle, been subscribed for a year or more now, you cant change what they give you. you just get it. I've pointlessly contacted humble support but seeing as they are given limited keys from ubisoft i'm sure there is nothing they can do. Or will do.

That is kind of the sad part, when it comes to monthly bundles, as the games you never know what you get, unless they have it shown as early, which was in this case it was shown as early.

Also that is correct Humble bundle is given a set amount of keys by Ubisoft, just like when they used to sell the game on humble bundle for Steam keys, they later changed it to Uplay keys, which was Ubisoft doing. Humble bundle can't help you in this spot, other than saying sorry, or telling you to take it up with Ubisoft.

IMO, might as well claim it, and then download it, add it as non-steam game, it won't count towards your hours, or get Steam achievements, or even card drops if it has any, but you be able to make use of the Steam overlay for ingame, for screenshots, and all that if you like, and that's about it. As much as we want to help, this is all the info we can give you.
