Cannot log into Steam via Nvidia Shield

Hi please help,

up until today i've been able to log into stream via Nvidia shield and play games. but now it simply says unable to log in.

i know my password and can sign in from other devices, but following the help wizard i reset my password anyway on the nvidia shield device. and it will still not let me know in. :(

There isn't any network issues (as i wouldn't be able to reset the password on that same device).

It almost feels like Steam have firewalled the remote server used by nvidia shield.
maybe i'm connected to steam from too many devices or something

any ideas, how to resolve?
