need help with CD Key/GFWL
I recently bought Resident Evil Racoon City, had problems with GFWL than after a few days finally got it working than it shut down, i can still load the game but when i sign in it just says please wait until i force close it with task manager, Iv tried forcing it on Windows XP settings and other windows settings (besides vista), iv reinstalled everything again, iv tried looking for a patch/downloaded game with the patch done, iv tried cracking GFWL out of the game, iv got the latest update of GFWL and tried making a local account which does work, but cant get any dlc or make saves, dont even care about the online truly..
ALSO i bought the game directly from steam on the marketplace, it did provide i CD key for the game but no matter how many times i put it in it shows its invalid, i know its typed in completely right, game was just bought less than a month ago, the key should still be active.
If anyone has any real solution to fix either of these things (April 2nd 2019) please let me know seeing how microsoft and steam cant seem to port some old files themselves. I honestly dont even know why steam still chooses to sell games like this knowing that GFWL was discontinued and CD keys dont work anymore, wouldn't it make sense to remove them or at least give a warning message?

GFWL store has been long gone years ago. You can't redeem the code either. Capcom can remove the file but they choose not to, also this isn't Steam, or Microsoft problem as they don't make Capcom games.

Only the GFWL Marketplace has shut down, GFWL and the key activation server are both up and running (most of the time). Both run off the Xbox 360s servers and won't shut down until MS shut down Xbox Live on the Xbox 360.

I took this screenshot just a few minutes ago to show I'm not talking rubbish.

The first thing you need to do is open add/remove programs and uninstall anything GFWL related, then navigate to this page and download the latest client: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/games/game-setup/games-for-windows-live-info

The page says it's only for Win 7 and Win 8, but it works on Win 10 too.

Once installed, reboot your PC then try running the game again and signing into GFWL.

In your library, make sure you check the boxes in the DLC section.

Offline mode has steps to take before you can...
