How do i check the validity/region of a steam key?

I bought a bundle from humblebundle a few months back and have totally forgotten about it until recently. I want to give this key to my friend whom resides in another country but i am not sure whether or not this key has been redeem (whether i gave it away) or region locked. And it is rather rude if i gave a used key, thus trying to look for solutions on how to check the availability of the key

All you can do is send it to your friend with a "I'm not sure if this has been redeemed or not, or whether it'll work in your region, but if you are interested in it feel free to activate it on your account."

I don't think any friend of my would be insulted by that even if it did turn out to have been redeemed after all.

i already unlocked it in code form, thus not giving my the gift to a friend option

yea, just saw, in that case, you could look up the thread for the bundle on steamtrades tho, they always have that info

Hi, i didnt know steamgifts have a thread on it but the game i was talking about is Sid Meier Civ IV. You just save me a a lot of time, as the game is region locked based on your location. Thanks a bunch!
