What happens if I activate a key for a game I already own?
The game in specific is Crypt Of The Necro Dancer, And im pretty sure you can have multiple copies, but if I activated a key, would the key just go to waste or would it got to my Inventory

Exception is if the version you try to activate contains something you are missing from your own, like a DLC or similar. Then you will get the missing content from the activation but no second copy for the main game. That will go "poof".

It would simply detect that you already own the game. And yes, you can still activate it on another account or give it to a friend.

No, you can not.

It will say, "product already owned" and prompt you to install it or play it.

Activating keys never gave users inventory games.

So, if I own the base game and I have the key for a deluxe version, I will still be able to redeem it, but not the main game. I get the DLC's that comes with the deluxe edition?

You get everything in the key that you don't already own. Anything you do own is disregarded.
