Is there a way to have my profile set to private but games detail set to public?

As the title says, I only want friends to see what game I'm playing, is there a way?

There is a friends only setting. It doesn't have to be either public or private.

Your profile name and avatar are visible to anyone who visits your profile and are used to represent you in multiplayer games.

My profile:Public/Private
Your community profile includes your profile summary, friends list, badges, Steam Level, showcases, comments, and group membership.

This next line says

The next options, including games, are setting individually regarless of your overall profile settinga.

You’ll have to set “My profile” and “Game Details” to friends only.

You should have the ability to change Games etc between private, public, friends only. Go to Profiles > Privacy settings and take a screenshot. Crop or paint of the rest of the UI so we can see name etc and upload it somewhere

No, you can not.

If your profile is private, the only option for Games Details is private.

Friends only profile will have both private and friends only options available.

What you want is just backwards.

we used to be able to set game details to public while account is set to private. im sad this option has been removed.

Nope, that never was a thing. Only the opposite. Profile to public, game details to private.
A profile on "private" shows nothing. Was always that way.
