Voice chat Push to talk

Is it only me who cant get it to work?

Update: After PC restart it started to work.

My mic was set to Push to Talk but it kept transmiting when i went into voice chat whith my toggel key set to "=". I change it to use the Alt key and it suddenly started working. I also notice that somtimes when i start a voice chat it starts toggled. I had to press it twice to get it to sync up with my key press.

Do you have the option that says "Play a short sound on microphone toggle"? You should only see tihs option when you have push to talk or push to mute selected. You should also notice the color of the mic changes when you have it toggled.

Are you trying this outside of a game and do you have any other voice apps open like discord?

Me and my friend are experiencing this with steams new group chat option as well. We both set Push to talk in steams settings, but the VOIP in the group chat keeps the mic always on.

I could not get it to work yesterday, but today it's working with no extra effort by me. I cannot get the voice output to go to my headphones though... Trying to find a thread about that.

iam trying to find the option too remove the sound. i saw on another post they added the option to remove it, i can't find it..

It started working for me the next day too, so I did some more testing and it seems that the push to talk settings change only after you restart steam.
